The Middlesex County area is under attack! The Spring pests are coming out of their burrows and getting ready to march on your property any day now. The best thing you can do is take the necessary precautions by first learning about the enemy. Here are your four most common Spring pests»

Ants
Ants are a resilient species and they can survive in almost any climate and season. They’re good at sneaking their way into food sources like restaurants, offices, hospitals, homes and any indoor structure that might be harboring food. While they can be found all year round, ants are prevalent at this time of year because it is their mating season in the Northeast.

Indian Meal Moths
These Northeastern moths have adapted perfectly to their new climate and they are lurking even if you can’t see them. They LOVE grains like you would find in your pantry and their light brown shade helps them blend in very well with their surroundings. They are fairly harmless, but their larvae will spin silken threads as they learn to feed and crawl. You don’t want that in your morning cereal!

Ticks
Ticks are prominent in Massachusetts wooded areas and taking the necessary precautions is even more critical this season. Scientists are predicting an increase of Lyme Disease for Massachusetts ticks this season and that should not be taken lightly. Property inspection is currently taking place and we want to help you limit your risk this Spring!

Dust Mites
Other than pollen, dust mites are the second most common cause of allergic reactions in the United States. If you or a family member has asthma, you’ll want to get these dealt with as soon as possible.

April showers are starting to subside a bit and the look and feel of Spring is starting to surface. This has homeowners scrambling to get their landscaping and pest control done so they can have that peace of mind. But appointments are filling up fast, so make sure you claim your inspection today.
